Algal Biotechnology Seminar Series

Starting in October 2007, the Scripps Photobiology group, under the direction of SD-CAB co-founder Dr. B. Greg Mitchell, initiated the Algal Biotechnology Seminar Series hosted at the Scripps Institution of Oceanography, University of California, San Diego. The seminar series attracts local, national and international leaders in algal aquaculture, biotechnology and renewable biofuels, including major oil companies, advanced refining technology companies, academics, algal biomass producers and policy experts. This SD-CAB-hosted forum provides an exceptional community service that promotes the free exchange of ideas between scientists, entrepreneurs, investors, public regulators, policy makers, and corporations. SD-CAB will continue to sponsor these seminars on a regular basis, taking advantage of travel by national and international experts to the region, and also providing a forum for local companies, investors and academics to present and to network.

Presentations and videos from the seminar series can be found at the SPG Website.
